Newbie here.
Quick history. Back in late 2022 I purchased Cubase 12 Pro but never downloaded it, as I became severely ill for a very long time.
I would now (April 2025) finally like to redeem my download and then immediately upgrade to version 14 Pro.
Do I have actually to download 12 Pro first, in order to get the discounted upgrade to 14 Pro?
Or can I skip straight to the 14 upgrade without ever installing 12?
(Installing 12 seems like a waste of time - I have a slow internet connection and it will take hours - if I will ultimately only have to remove 12 from my pc after 14 is installed).
Hope that makes sense and any advice would be very much appreciated.

Hi, yes, you can avoid installing 12, but I think you have to register your software first, so it is in your product list on Steinberg’s account, and then go on with the upgrade to 14.

Hello and welcome.
With Steinberg products it is not important what you downloaded and/or installed. The only thing that matters is which license is active in your MySteinberg account.
If this shows a Cubase Pro 12 license then you can purchase the update from Cubase Pro 12 to Cubase Pro 14.
If it doesn’t show any Cubase license at all, just click the button “Redeem Download Access Code” and enter that download access code, that you received when purchasing Cubase 12. You might get Cubase Pro 14 for free in this case.
