Hello,
I recently purchased Dorico Pro 5 multi-user licenses and have only now noticed the release of version 6. I’ve seen articles about the start date for the Dorico 6 upgrade grace period, but what about the expiration date for the grace period? My license activations fall within the start of the grace period (but not all of my licenses have been activated yet), but I’m not sure how to implement the update. If it’s still an option for me, how could I go forward with the upgrade to Dorico Pro 6?
Welcome to the forum, @dhui. There is no expiration date for the grace period: if you first activate a Dorico 5 or earlier license on or after 26 March 2025, you will receive a Dorico 6 license instead (or indeed if you wait long enough, eventually it would become a Dorico 7 license!).
We can help you get all your seats updated to Dorico 6. Please drop me an email at d dot spreadbury at steinberg dot de, including the Steinberg ID email address that your existing seats are assigned to, and including the Download Access Codes you received when you purchased your license, and we’ll take care of the rest.
Thank you for your prompt reply! After discussing again with my faculty, we decided to take advantage of the free upgrade offer later. Would it be alright if I came back to this thread once we’re ready to upgrade, or should I reach out elsewhere when the time comes?
Drop me an email when you’re ready. You can email me at d dot spreadbury at steinberg dot de.
