UR22 MIDI Ports or USB?

Newbie question I’m afraid… It sounds like I can use the Panorama P6 with the UR22 using the MIDI ports, or could use the USB port from the keyboard to the PC. Is it preferred to use MIDI ports if available on the interface?

I’d say try both. In principle, if you have a separate usb buss (i.e. not part of the usb buss to which your UR 22 is connected), it makes sense to me to use this simply because you won’t be using one usb port to carry audio information as well as Panorama midi information. In practise, it may make no difference at all - usb2 is capable of carrying may tens of audio tracks.
