Ur22 mk II, can hear the DI when it's all the way to DAW

Hi there, so that’s the problem basically, I can hear the raw input while the knob is set all the way to DAW. Tried many things, none of them worked. That only happens when I am using the plugins, I am not getting any signal if I just plug the guitar in.

Hi,
I guess it’s a plugin with a dry/wet control. The dry signal would be the sound that you take for the direct routing signal.
Or maybe you use your plugin (e.g. an amp emulation) as a send signal and haven’t turned the send all the way up. The latter example is something you wouldn’t usually want to do. Use an insert slot instead for amp simulations and sorts

tx for the reply, its not just the plugins. I use ableton, even without a plugin a signal is coming trhough in the channel.
And I dont really know what a send signal and insert slots are

If you have turned the knob on your interface all the way down to DAW then the UR22 mk II has nothing to do with it since it doesn’t have DSP mix and loopback.
I’m afraid I’m not familiar with Ableton so I can’t help you. I’d suggest to pose that question in the Ableton forum, too. The first thing you should look at are routings.

Good luck!

if you read this apparently its not the ableton problem because Im still having the same issue while using standalone plugins.

Can you upload screenshots of your plugin and routings, please? If you turn down the knob all the way down to DAW on this audiointerface then you will hear no DI signal at all. You said it yourself - this happens if you just plug in a guitar.

Upload a few screenshots and we’ll know for sure
Please google “send”, "inserts, “dry/wet signal”. These are basics you should definetly familiarize yourself with.

And what is doing the monitoring?
Ableton or a plugin?
