Hi i went thru the forum but could not find, any suitable solution to my problem. I want to play an external input alongwith my daw simultaniously , but as soon as i move the daw knob on the UR22C, the loopback starts, im aware that the new version has removed the loopback mode on/ off tab from the dspmixfx software. Can anyone help me out please.
Are you enabling “direct monitoring” in Studio Setup? I do that and I am able to use the mix knob to balance the rest of cubase with the input signal as intended. (I’m actually not sure if the Direct Monitoring is key to this or not, but I have it and it’s working…)

And I have the “monitor” button on the target track (the one I will record to, not the Cubase input track) enabled to hear it while practicing etc too.
Hi Alan, although im on FL Studio and it does not have direct monitoring option, but you did point me in the right direction, after spending some time fiddling around and asking ai all kinds of questions i was able to find two workable solutions for FL studio at least. Thanks, you were truly helpful. +1…I had almost given up on this good piece of kit, now am happy again , i can understand that Steinberg is not responsible for how different DAWs handle the audio routing…The solutions which work for me are
a) move the DAW knob all the way to the right, on the dspmixfx, the faders for the input will go all the way down but you can still hear the input, minus the loopback.
b) there’s another solution from FL studio , which is to disconnect the routed input mixer tracks from the master. Haven’t tried it yet, am sure it would also do the trick…
PS: Can confirm that disconnecting the input mixer tracks from the master out works, and loopback gets turned off. This would be the standard method for all Fl Studio users. When you do this make sure that the DAW knob is set to center position on the UR22C. thanks
