Lots of people reporting audio dropouts. I no longer have the patience to fight with this. So here’s my question. Is there a newer UR audio interface that has no issues with Windows 11? I’ll go out and get it.
Thanks

People who are seeing dropouts need to troubleshoot and find out what the issue is. The UR series works perfectly well on a range of platforms, and there is no problem with them that’s specific to Windows 11. Buying another device will not help you.
It’s a brand new computer. It should work, period.
Also, it worked on my Windows 10 computer. The only variable is Windows 11. So that’s the problem.
And the fact that you are using a completely different computer.
You have made no attempt to provide any details whatsoever about the specs of your previous computer or your new one. You might want to try a different approach if you actually want help.
I’m using 28m with latest windows 11 (last update) - all ok
Just wanted to report back. Got a Focusrite 2I2 today and hooked it up, downloaded the drivers and it works fine. So the problem, at least on my PC, was the UR28M drivers with Windows 11. No surprise. The most recent driver is 4 years old. I don’t even think Windows 11 was a thing 4 years ago.
So problem solved. I had to ditch the UR28M on this machine. I still use it on my other one (Windows 10) because it works fine. I have no plans on upgrading that PC because Windows 11 sucks. Too much stuff doesn’t work with it.
Just to let you know, I’m using the UR28M on Windows 11 without any problems.
Hard to know what differences there are from your set-up.
Last update. Turns out the culprit was the Internal soundcard. Once we disabled it, everything was fine. So the UR28M was NOT the problem. I just wanted to set the record straight.
Good to hear you’ve got the UR28M running ![]()
