I think I know the answer to this, but wanted to post it to make sure. I recently got a Hughes and Kettner Grandmeister deluxe 40 amp. The direct out for recording is balanced line level XLR . Seems that is a problem because the UR44 appears to use the XLR exclusively for mic input.
The H&K can be set for mic level out but it sounds like it’s not the preferred, probably decreases the signal to noise level.
I need to check if the 44c has the same restrictions on the XLR input (mic only).
But the line inputs 3, 4, 5, 6 can be connected to both balanced and unbalanced plugs. So if you get the correct cable - xlr on one end and phone type jack on the other it could work.
I do have a balanced XLR to TRS cable coming tomorrow. I just was not sure it the balanced/unbalanced applied to the TRS input (or if it was meant to be paired with the XLR/Line option as XLR(balanced)/Line(unbalanced)).
Thanks for confirming that the XLR to balanced TRS cable may be the solution.
