I am trying to figure out midi setup for Sibelius with the UR44-C
I have a Korg Triton wired for both line out and midi into the UR44-C. I then have line out to my speakers and Midi out back to the Korg.
When I load Sibelius and start a score, Sibelius defaults to Wavetable Synth. This allows me to hear tones when I play the korg (as rendered by sibelius) and the sibelius metronome. However I also hear the Korg line out via the UR44C. Due to the fact that there is a huge amount of latency (about half a second) this doesn’t work. If I turn off the line out to speaker, it is better but the latency is still huge.
Option B is to use the UR44C as the audio engine and UR44C as the midi device. The problem with this is I can’t then hear the sibelius metronome. I can’t check for latency as I can’t play in time with sibelius.
What should I do? Should I take a line out from the PC into the UR44-C ? Is there a better way to set this up?
