In between cubase sessions even if Cubase remains open, the UR44C audio driver drops. The only way I’ve found to solve this is to use the switch on the back to USB (in the absence of a power switch on this device) and then switch it back to powered. It then automatically reconnects after about 10 seconds. Any ideas? I use a Mac Studio.
I’m not a Mac user, but could it have something to do with having your internal sound card still on/available and having it set to default. On my computer, I set my external sound card to Default. Just a thought.
Thanks Albert, I checked this and input and output are set for interface. It also affects audio recordings through interface from my digital piano. Tracks won’t record unless I do the same switch off/on procedure. This has only started to happen a few weeks ago so am checking any updates that may have caused it.
I forgot to mention in the last note that the only time I have issues is, for instance, I’m working in Cubase in 96k and I leave Cubase open and then go to Youtube to listen to something. The change in sample rate basically crashes my Cubase so I have to restart. One disadvantage of not using in internal sound card.
