i just installed version 3 of the mixer for the ur44c and it is missing the loopback option. the result of this is that when i am in a zoom session, the other side can’t hear my dorico playback. this option was available in version 3 of the mixer… i am on windows.
Hi @Bernhard_Metzger , actually you are in the wrong section of the forum here with that questions, but anyway…
Have a look at this tutorial video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eItn3vT3AKU
ulf,
thanks, but i posted it here on purpose as the issue is getting dorico to play through zoom. i did listen to the video and it really did not help in this case.
But you had it working with the older version, right? Version 3 has no explicit Loopback function any more, because instead it has now a dedicated stream mixer, so you use that output signal as input to Zoom and that should be it.
Now I just exercised this myself with my UR44C and ZOOMing between 2 computers in my studio. And these are the settings:
Input 1 is connected with my mic, via the DAW channel comes the Dorico signal and via the Voice channel plays YouTube.
And under Dorico’s device setup it looks like:
Ulf,
Thank you for spending the time on this.
I just tried it and did not get a good result.interestingly, I do not show “streaming” as an option. However, my mic does come through to the other side so that much is getting to zoom from the ur44c. the sounds from doric do not. in my case the mic shows up as input 4. I was wondering if my wiring made a difference (see below), but that should just affect the keyboard. Steinberg has asked sweetwater if they could contact me directly so I suspect a solution will be forthcoming.

Two additional things:
First, did you also update the firmware of the UR44C?
Second, in Zoom, try to fiddle with the audio settings regarding automatic noise reduction and the like.
I’m currently on my smartphone and will later post my settings from the PC.
I believe the firmware is up to date, but i will check. also, i noticed that you had an option in zoom to select streaming for the micrphone. i do not have that.

I believe that the streaming option may be the trick to this, but I can’t figure out how to get that option to show up. Do you have any idea how to do this,
bernie
These are my other audio settings:
And these the version numbers taken from the dspMixFX About screen:
That what is shown as Main V3.20 is the firmware of the UR44C. Do check that again with yours. I really think that is the key in this quest.
Thanks.
I have the same dspmixfx versions. However I don’t have streaming as a mic option. Puzzled.
Did you need to do something on your windows ( if that is what you are using) sounds set up.

Hi
after playing around with several settings including allowing stero mix and enabling ur42 ½ channel. It started to work. However, it continued to work after I turned those off. As I don’t yet know the root cause, I believe it will be back. I was never able to get the streaming input you have.
In any case, it is working for now. Thanks for your help… if I discover anything else, I will let you know.

Hi Bernie,
good to hear that you got it working now.
And no, I did not do anything special for the steaming input.
I just installed the latest versions of everything regarding URxxC
and that was it.
But do get back to me should the problem reoccur or you find out something else.
Best
Ulf
