UR44C paired with Conference Room Sound System

Hello, I’m new here and new to Steinberg products in general. I was recommended a UR44C for the project I’m trying to put together. I work for my local government in a small town with a limited budget. I was asked to put together a system to stream to Facebook Live or YouTube via an iPad Pro. We have done this in the past using the native audio on an iPad and the audio was horrible. I saw that the UR44C would accept a connection with an iPad Pro to help with the audio issues. So here is my idea and I have no concept of whether this would work or not.

I would like to buy a UR44C, connect it to the iPad Pro, then connect something like a VocoPro Conference Room System to provide 12 wireless microphones for the Mayor and Council. This is the VocoPro I was looking at for reference:

Part # DIGITAL-CONF-12
Model # Digital-Conference-12

Is this something that can be done? Would it work properly? What other equipment would I need to flesh out this project?

I appreciate any feedback that anyone would like to provide.

James

Go ahead and post links to the devices, I’ll upgrade your forum permissions.

Thanks Steve!

Here is the actual manufacture’s page for that item: Digital-Conference-12 | VOCOPRO

Wireless microphones are tempting, but I would avoid if you can, or you will keep facing dead battery issues at a critical time and/or RF interference… nightmare stuff…

If you value wireless remote control/mixing, check the Behringer XR18 (or XR16) and use direct wired microphones instead. Much more reliable (no batteries!) and better sound quality. The XR can stay hidden under the table, and you can control everything from anywhere else.

Note the XR has a built-in wifi ap, but you should buy a separate wifi router ($80) instead for better security and range.
I love my UR44C! but it has only 4 inputs and not a fit here. And this 12-mic wireless kit looks like a mess/hassle down the road (maintenance) to me.

My 2-cent…

+1,000 on the XR. I use an XR12 (same as the XR16, minus USB audio interface, and 4 channels) every time I play – even as my as my preamp into a powered speaker. It sounds great, has decent FX and is cheap. Basic functions can be controlled via midi as well.

I also 2nd what @Y-D said. The wi-fi failed on the very first gig I did with the unit. I bought this: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B073TSK26W/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1 and it’s worked 100% of the time. I also have a usb to Ethernet cable so I can hardwire in a worst case scenario – that’s must have, if only for the peace of mind.
