UR44C USB-C to iPad Pro USB-C: can the UR44C *power* the iPad via USB cable?

So:

USB-C cable connects fine between the UR44C and the iPad Pro for audio etc.

But the iPad is not being charged.

What solutions are there to use the UR44C and not have the iPad run out of power?

Is it a matter of getting the right USB-C cable?

Or do I need an adapter that splits the USB-C input into the iPad allowing for separate power input from a charger, and the USB-C input from the UR44C?

I used a small USB-C hub (from Anker) that supports PD.
You plug the hub to the iPad and the audio interface to any USB port (a classic USB A port is fine).
