Stupid question coming up, probably, but here goes… 
I just bought a UR824, and like it alot so far. But do you have to check the direct monitoring symbol on the track every time you record in order to hear what you play and then uncheck it again after to hear what you recorded?
Didn’t have to do this on my old card (M-Audio FireWire) .
Sound goes through fine until I open Cubase. Then there’s no sound until I check off the direct monitoring symbol. Is this right, or am I missing something obvious?
