Usb 2.0 interface but Usb 3.0 Ports

I have a new PC and I’m setting up my interface. It’s a ‘UR242’ (Usb 2.0)… The ports on my PC are:
Two: USB 2.0 ports with Power On
One: USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-A port
Three: USB 3.2 Gen 1 Type-A ports
Any idea what would be best for my interface, usb e-liscense, keyboard & mouse?
(I currently have my ‘e-Liscense’ & ‘UR242’ in the “USB 2.0 ports w/ Power-on” and my keyboard & mouse in the “USB 3.2 Gen 1 Type-A ports” I figured it would be safer to match the 2.0 w/ 2.0, though it has “power-on”…
PLEASE HELP. ANY TIPS OR ADVICE TO KEEP OR CHANGE WOULD BE GREAT. THANK YOU

Just try them. The interface I would stick with the usb 2 ports even though usb 3 is supposed to be backward compatible. Any should work but it’s not always the case. Depends on chipset and devices. I’ve found the dongle tends to work in any of the usb 2 or 3 ports I have.

Okay, will do. Thanks for the help. I’ll keep the interface in the ‘Powered USB 2.0’ since it’s a ‘USB 2.0’ interface… I’ll plug my generic mouse & keyboard in the others b/c I’m not worried about those and they’re working fine in them. The ‘e-License’ is currently in the ‘Powered USB 2.0’ and working fine. If I run into any issues, I’ll try a different configuration.
