I have tested many cables, also oryginal is not correct for cubase. Could any one tell me what is wrong that i have not usb3 connection? In system everything seems to be ok.
Hi,
Ensure it’s plugged in to USB3. There might be also USB2 hub on the mother board.
all of USB ports are SS USB - the same result is when i plug strict to USB-C port.
every other device work fast without prompting (SSD drives)
Not that it will make any difference to performance.
Hello,
first of all, that is NOT a Cubase issue.
USB speed is negotiated between the device and the USB controller (when plugging in the device to the USB bus , or while initializing the USB controller).
What speed is agreed to between the device and controller depends on a few things:
- firmware => update mainboard / USB controller firmware
- driver => update all drivers to the latest version
- USB cable => ensure that the cable is capable for USB3 usage (e.g. my phone has a USB C type connector but only uses USB2 protocol, so the cable that comes with the phone does not supports USB3 data transfer modes).
- ensure that the used USB port supports USB3 (using e.g. USBTreeView: https://www.uwe-sieber.de/usbtreeview_e.html )
Check for the USB Hub/Port the UR22C is connected to.
That one must support USB3 in Superspeed mode (if the UR22C supports Superspeed), or at least Fast Speed.
I saw mainboards with USB3 ports that did not support Superspeed mode (even on external ports).
Thank You. I ll check all of this
