Use sound card in share mode ?

Is there an option on cubase to use the sound card in share mode ?
Can’t find any mention of this anywhere and i’d like to use it with another application at the same time (automation system for a radio station).

I’m using cubase LE AI elements 6.

It depends very much on your system (OS and version), sound card driver and what sound card we’re talking about. For me - see specs below - it does work. ‘Sound card’ in my case means firewire interface with the DM3200.
