Using 1 iCloud Project on both iPad and MacOS with same instruments?

Hi, is there a way to map instruments of a project that can be used by Dorico for iPad and macOS without having to re-assign each time?

The main goal is to use 1 project file. Whether to tweek or add to the project when on the road with my iPad. Then working on the project on my Mac when I sit at my desk.

I have come to the conclusion that I have to “safe file as” to get the changes to stick. But reloading the instruments takes time. Reload does not seem to do anything after the system sync’s iCloud.

Thank you in advance for your suggestions.

Update with an example: I took a MIDI file and opened a project on Dorico macOS, assigned a General MIDI instrument using HALion Sonic [GM xxx] to each staff; then saved it in iCloud.

When I opened the file on my iPad, all the staffs were assigned to the Yamaha S90 piano., not Built-in [GM xxx].

Quick thinking: I was kind of hoping that in Setup/Players/Edit Instrument Definition there would be a setting for MIDI Program Change.
