Using a DeEsser to process PART of a WAV

Is there a way to use the DeEsser plug-in to process PART of a WAV file? I am trying to get rid of plosives and sibilance at the beginning a WAV without DeEssing the entire WAV. I am somewhat new to Cubase and the forum.

Perhaps offline processing would do the trick. I just watched a video on it the other day and if I recall correctly you can select a region of a part to work on.

You can automate the on off status of the plugin.

Alternatively, mult the vocal to two tracks and apply the de-esser to only one.
