Using an AXR4 with an M4 Mac Studio: Thunderbolt or USB 3?

Hello, I’m planning to use an AXR4 with an M4 Mac Studio.

I’m considering two connection options:

  1. Installing the Thunderbolt option card and using Apple’s official Thunderbolt 2 to Thunderbolt 3 adapter
    (I already have the adapter)

  2. Installing the USB 3 card and connecting via USB 3

Which connection method would be better?
I’d like to hear your opinions on which option is preferable in terms of stability, compatibility, and overall usability.
