Using Cubase 10.5 on two PCs

Hi

Years ago I bought a UR12 interface with which I got Cubase AI and update to pro 10.5 version. I have never used the UR12 sound card, because for my pro studio I use an RME PCIe card and external converters and also use Cubase PRO vesrsion 10.5 (upgraded from AI). Now, I want to connect the UR12 on my son’s PC and use it AI version . Is it possible?

  • Can I use Cubase AI for this PC without eLicenser USB key?
  • Is there any option to get my AI version of Cubase to work with UR12 (AI version from my Cubase account → my products and use it) to use it without USB key?
  • Any other option to use AI/LE Cubase without USBkey with UR12 without buying software again?

If you upgraded your AI license to Pro, you no longer have your AI license. You have one Pro license which is tied to your USB-eLicenser.

If you update your Pro 10.5 license to Pro 12, you would have 3 dongle-free activations available. Just a suggestion :wink: .
