Using different drivers for input and output

Hello all,

I have been using Cubase LE 9.5 for a while now with a Zoom R8 (and the ZR8 ASIO driver). I also sometimes switch the setup over to Generic Low Latency ASIO driver, when I don’t want to switch to analog input on my sound system, but it only works for playback (or with a USB mic). What I can’t seem to do, and maybe this is not possible, is use my R8 ASIO for input, but use the Generic ASIO for output at the same time. Is this possible?

I have successfully used multiple output devices with Voicemeeter, but that’s for a different application, so maybe that’s worth looking into for this.

You can’t use multiple ASIO drivers at the same time.

If you are on Windows, you can use ASIO4ALL virtual driver to merge all inputs and outputs to one virtual ASIO driver.
