When I recorded my guitars I recorded them to seperate stereofiles. One stereofile for leftguitar and one stereofile for rightguitar. Now I have borrowed a hardware EQ that is mono (one in one out). Can I send a stereofile through the compressor without mixing it down to a monotrack before sending it? Or how do I set this up. I’m using cubase 6.5.

Obviously you can not send both channels of a stereo file [qt the same time) through a mono device (at the same time) without mixing to mono before…
In the case of EQ you could send one side first, and the other side on a second pass. For a compressor that’s not a very good idea, compression on stereo signals you really want to do on both sides simultaneously, with linked channels.
