using old dongle for Artist 9 demo

I have ordered a copy of Artist 9 and I want to try the demo to get up to speed before it arrives. I have an e licenser dongle from an old Cubase sl 2. Can I use that?

If it is an usb dongle (Before that they were serial port) yes! I still use my sx3 dongle (if I recall correctly where I started, maybe it was SX2) for C9 pro. It is what they now call the long dongle.

It seems the original dongle has a slower processor (see article). If you experience any performance issues, this is one place you might look.
