Using the new quick export as mp3 keeps using old meta data name

been writing this week and noticed when I use the quick eport to send out a rough Mp3’s to the artist I can name the file to what I want but on export it’s using an old file name ( the name of the last track I put into the meta data when doing a full audio export).

There seems to be no way of changing this from the quick export as there’s no option.

So all the files end up with the same name in the mp3 META data.

makes quick export unusable..

am i doing something wrong here?

I think this issue has been around since the Flood. There is no way to designate file names as the Title tag, or any other tags. Just whatever gets entered into the tag dialog, and and that is persistent until it gets changed.
I haven’t exported an MP3 in 10 years or more, but in Cubase 14, the last tag data I used is still there, carried over from Cubase 8 or something.

LOL… exactly….. Mp3 is useful when sending out writing ideas via email . It’s quick, easy, small size and the artists can get the idea without the need for sendiing large Wav files. i work at 96k so an Mp3 is perfect. I shall return to the old way of doing things via the traditional export audio menu until this get’s resolved. I can’t imaginbe how a new function like this could get added and then no one in Beta saw the elephant in the room!!!

Arguably the Cubase mp3 metadata dialog is more dangerous than helpful.

Sadly it’s still better to use an external tool to add mp3 metadata than counting on the Cubase export.
