Using the VST Bridge with Cubase 64-bit

All 32-bit VST plug-ins running on the VST Bridge share the same 4 GB memory space!

What does that actually mean?

If I´m using 4GB worth of 32-bit plugins in Cubase 6 64-bit, will Cubase run on it´s own memory space and doesn´t care about the 32-bit plugins using all 4GB RAM? And will I get to use other 64-bit plugins over the 4GB RAM limitation? Or will the 32-bit plugins somehow block that and make Cubase unstable?

And there´s no way to run 32-bit plugins over 4GB in C6 64-bit?

Bump.

Anyone know how this stuff works?

It means that all your 32-bit plugins can only take 4 GB of memory TOGETHER.
If you use jBridge instead you get independent memory space for each plugin though.

Yes, as far as I know.

No, but using the bridges may affect Cubase to become unstable if the plugins aren’t 100% “compatible” with the bridge.
Only way to know is to try them out really.

No.
Cubase’s vstbridge = 4GB for all 32-bit plugins together
jBridge = 4GB per 32-bit plugin

Thanks for the reply!

JBridge isn´t for Mac right?
