Using UR44 on PC and laptop

Hi.

I’m looking to buy the UR44 but have a couple of questions before I do…

Can I install the drivers and use the UR44 interface on my studio PC and my mobile recording laptop without purchasing a Steinberg dongle and/or breaching any licenses?

I should add that I won’t be using Cubase on either machine so I don’t need a license/dongle for that.

As with most HW the UR is itself a quasi-dongle. The software and drivers are useless without the hardware, and the UR can only physically be attached to one machine at a time.

A little late to the party but yes you can.
However you can only use the DSP FX through elicense and that’s limited to 1 OS.
