Variaudio feedback button bug

Cubase 6 Variaudio windows7 64bit
The Acoustic pitch feedback button is turned on yet I still cannot audition the sound. it was good a few days ago. any ideas?
the play tool (the one with the speaker symbol) doesn’t work either
