Variaudio undo one segment

Hi
I edited a long event in Variaudio yesterday. Quite happy with the edits, but there is one segment (one note) that annoys me, the correction sounds off. I want to set it back to its original. I’m rather sure that note was not on a perfect pitch. How can I return to unchanged without loosing all the other changes in the whole event?

  • deleting the segment [del] resets indeed to original, but then i don’t have a way to re-adjust it
  • Function “Re-analize Audio” or throws all changes away in the whole event, not only the selected range
  • Function “Reset pitch changes” and all other reset functions are always grayed out (i tried range selection as well)
  • When i select by rectangle the text changes to “Reset *** changes in selection” but still grayed out.
  • segment rightclick menu has no undo or reset
  • Edit was yesterday, so no ctrl-Z

Is there a way to ‘undo’ one segment?
Is there a way to see how much pitch correction is done in numerical value, so I can drag or set that to 0 and undo it?
When i delete the segment, is there a way to let cubase analize only the range i select? or to draw a new segment box?

not a single tip? suggestion? help?

It would be this functionality. No idea why it is greyed out on your machine.

Hi,

Yes luckely there is! And as @Johnny_Moneto showed it´s not supposed to be greyed out when you make a selection during or after a change for example the pitch.

I did as you and made my corrections and save the projekt.

After reopen the event in Sample Editor:

The Edit VariAudio button must be activated! Hopefully that work out for you so its not something weird happening with your ongoing projekt.

The originalpitch is preserved as shown in the Infoline:

Thanks both @Johnny_Moneto and @Matsie !
For some strange reason the functions for selection were always grayed out, but when i created a new project and imported the tracks the functions were available!!! (and the variaudio changes are imported as well)

Then I completely missed that there is also an infoline in the lower editor. There indeed the modified pitch is visible. You only need to activate the infoline…
