Various Playback issues

I’m getting various playback and rendering issues in version 6 (in addition to the problem I raised a couple of days ago with strange CC1 jumps).

  • when I have divisi, only one of the staves renders during audio export - intermittently.

  • there seems to be a disconnection, intermittently, between the mixer and the audio during playback. Music will play, but the mixer tracks corresponding to the sounds do not show anything, and do not affect the audio if I move faders etc. Another time, all is well. Exiting Dorico, and restarting it, fixes the issue.

  • First notes of a flow not sounding in a very few cases. I’ve not changed any delays in any expression maps, so far as I remember, but I increased the humanization of start notes from 9% to 17%. The workaround is to set the playback start offset to 10.

Before I delve deeper, and try to find out what the triggers are for these, I’m wondering if anyone else is experiencing these issues, or similar ones?

What VSTs are you using? Standard Note Performer, of course, (and some other VSTs) uses its own mixer to control playback and feeds everything to channel 1 of the Dorico mixer.

I’m using a fairly complex setup involving NP 4.5.1 with NPPE and various libraries, plus some BBCSO, EW Opus and synth patches hosted in Dorico.

It’s the locally-hosted BBCSO instances that I’ve noticed to be missing, but it might actually be everything except the effects channels (which are definitely working all the time).
