VB1 is back! Weird Pitch bend behavior?

Was trying out the good old VB-1 and it actually sounds very nice for use as an extra layer with other bass instruments to give more subs or a specific characteristic to the sound… BUT, I have realized it has a weird pitch bend response, like it only alter the pitch upon note-on. Anyone noticed the same? Don’t kinda remember if this was true in the original too.

Also, man the GUI is so tiny! But that is also true for the rest of these classic plugins… they could have added a x2 zoom.

Interesting, I don’t remember whether the original one behaved like that as well.
I will try to find out.
Regarding the GUI, you can use the interface scaling as shown in the video on YouTube.

There are no scaling options here… maybe Dom Sigalas is using a different build of the plugin?

Interesting… Looks fine here:

It seems UI scaling is only available in Cubase/Nuendo from version 15, via the Functions menu in the plug-in header.

Steinberg could give us a modern skin option for it. Like the metal version it has back on the day!

I’m on Cubase 14, actually… This might be the only explanation.

They could have solved this problem like they’ve done in other SB plugins such as Halion, Padshop, Groove Agent, etc., with a dedicated cog button which opens a menu containing the scaling options.

Easier would be pull the edge and choose the size you wanted. Simple.
