I started using the VDL template from the Dorico article here: Marching percussion template for Tapspace Virtual Drumline – Dorico
I’ve watched the YouTube video in the article and am still having issues simply inputting notes. Specifically, I can’t even enter normal RH and LH hits. I am using Dorico 5.1 and Kontakt 7. I have attached 2 screenshots of my setup. I am using a 3 octave midi keyboard however I have buttons to go down or up octaves. Anyone know what I am doing wrong?
well looks like I figured it out- I pressed the E two below middle C and then the C above middle C to activate RH hits
I believe another, more advanced template for VDL is close to being ready. You could send a message to @John_at_Steinberg for details.
