Velocity in Midi Editor on OSX

Hi

i got a s very simple but very annoying problem:
i just switched from Win to OSX and got the problem with short cuts on the Midi Editor.
lets say i played an arpeggio and the notes are to close so that i cant use the Bars below the notes to change the velocity.
On Windows a pressed Alt and clicked on the note and with going up or down with the mouse it changed the velocity value. On OSX none of the keys worked. whats the solution?

On Mac, hold down Shift+CMD (the cursor should changer to a “speaker” when you hover over a note, and then drag up or down).
