Verification of the validity of the UPC/EAN code

Hi,

During my tests on Wavelab pro 11.1, I entered a random UPC/EAN code (therefore incorrect).

However, the UPC/EAN13 code has a digit to ensure that the code is valid.

This error was not detected by either Wavelab 11 or the Steinberg DDP player, but by another DDP player.

Wouldn’t it be useful if either Wavelab or the Steinberg DDP player would do this verification please ?

There is already a check, but it is not a “strict” one. But why not make it more strict.
