Versions useless when fixing tempo of recording with warp tool

Based on this demo by Dom Sigalas :

Cubase 13.0.21 Pro, W11.
I recorded a guitar clip on 3 tracks positionned in a same folder (stereo input + reamp track) but before I apply the fixing process demoed by Dom, I created a new version of each track to preserve my original record, working on the copy version.
Then I applied exactly the Dom process and get my result as expected, in last step I chosed to keep the new info in the project, not in the files.
Then I tried to select back my first version with the idea of applying on it the same process with some variant when fixing the tempo.
Here I just realized that this version 1 has been modifyed by the process applied on its copy and that when selecting the Warp tool (Dom call it Time worktool) I was no more able to adapt the time in the way I did it on the copy ?
Dommage, it seems that versioning system does not totally preserve the original clip. or I did something bad ?

You never said how you created new versions/copies. That information would be essential when answering your question.

New versions created using the versioning system in the inspector for each track.

Those new version create new versions of the track but not of the content on the track when you use “duplicate” in order to create a new version.
Any audio events still refer to the same audio clip(s) as on the other track version.

What you need to do is to create a new version of the audio clip. By default Cubase will prompt a dialog whenever you start to perform work on the clip. It will ask you whether or not you want ot create a new version and work on that.
In case that dialog does not appear anymore you can also set it up in the Preferences:
