I hope you don’t mind my reaching out directly, and I apologize for singling you out. You’ve been very kind to respond to my questions in the past, and I truly appreciate your help.
I’m also having a bit of trouble with the forum itself. I don’t seem to be able to start a new post the way I used to. There no longer appears to be a logo or button indicating that I’m creating a new forum post, so I’m not sure where I’m going wrong.
My Dorico question has to do with positioning chorus lyrics so they align on the same vertical line. I experimented with Properties and was eventually able to make it work, but the process was very labor-intensive. I ended up clicking each individual syllable across the system. While this worked well on System 3 of page 2, I’m fairly certain Dorico has a more efficient and proper way to handle this.
I’ve attached a screenshot, since it probably explains the issue more clearly than words. You can likely see the alignment problem I’m running into.
While I’m asking, I also have a question about the lyric “Yes,” in measure 10, beat 4. Dorico wants to attach the text directly to that beat, but I would prefer the lyric to sit slightly underneath so it remains clearly visible. I’m not sure what the best approach is for that situation.
