Hello, I’m using Dorico 5 with a vertical monitor, but when switching between different modes or making edits, the screen ends up drifting off to the right side. This doesn’t happen in Dorico 4, so I assume it’s a bug.
Is there any temporary solution to this?
It’s not a bug so much as a consequence of the status bar having more controls and information in it than in previous versions. In particular, when you change the selection, the informational read-out for the current selection may get wider, and can force the minimum width of the window to be wider than a portrait display.
There’s no good workaround for now, but the next update to Dorico 5 will provide a solution in the form of the ability to right-click on the status bar and choose which controls should be shown.
