Vertical rest positioning within beams?

Hi all! I’m wondering if there’s a setting anywhere that governs the vertical displacement of rests behavior when a rest is within a beamed group. There are some options in Notation Options > Beam Grouping about how to beam when rests are involved, but nothing I can see that specifically deals with the vertical position of those rests.

In the screencap below, to my eye, that eighth rest in the right hand is one space too low – too close to the beam. It just feels cluttered to me. I know that I could change the rest position manually, but since the entire piece is in 12/8 and this is happening quite frequently, I would love to change a global setting (in true Dorico fashion) if at all possible.

Thanks!

EDIT TO ADD: I’m pondering and thinking it’s possible that it’s not the rest position, but maybe the stem length? Moving the rest up a space doesn’t look great to me either, although I like the room between it and the beam better. My issue, essentially, is that the rest and beam feel too close to each other. I’m not sure what the solution is – or maybe I’m certifiably insane and it’s perfectly fine. lol Any thoughts would be appreciated!

If I remember rightly, Dorico maintains at least half a space between a rest and the beam, but I don’t think there are any options you can change that influence this directly.

Okie doke – consider it a feature request then  I just double checked and F*nale (teehee) does put the rest one space higher in this situation and I do actually think that looks better in the end. So the ability to change that globally would be really helpful! Thanks! feature-request
