I recently bought a Steinberg UR44C audio interface. I installed the driver and tools designated for my version of macOS. My laptop recognises the interface and can play audio with it. Though when connected to Ableton, selected both as input and output device, there’s a very high signal coming in through all of the inputs. When connected to a different audio output device (eg. built in output), this is gone and everything seems to work normally - eg. when a mic is connected, it works. The loopback function is off in the mixer software. I just tested it with a silicon macbook, and even without the driver installed, it worked perfectly fine. I uninstalled the driver but the problem persists… I’m loosing my mind, please, any ideas are welcome!
