Video Crash in Cubase 10.5.12

Hello,
My daughter just returned home from university with a bunch of online assignments due for her music degree program.
One assignment required that she score a 30 second action clip using Reaper and Kontakt 5. Well, as you can imagine, Kontakt was nowhere to be found and none of her classmates all over North America could find it either. It’s a VSTi, isn’t it? On the bright side, the clip was loadable and playable in Reaper but there were no sounds to create a score.
That’s when Daddy stepped in and said “Let’s use Cubase. I have all the grooviest sounds.”
It didn’t go well because the video file (which was imported in 47 different ways) would crash Cubase after a 3 second delay. WTF?
In my 22 years as a Cubase user, I have never needed to load a video file until now. Well done!
The video file is a Video3JPEG.mov
I have the inkling that this is really something that should be rock solid?
We had to import the audio into Cubase and open up the video in Quicktime and try and sync it all by hand. Not very posh, but we finished it with 55 minutes to spare. The other students didn’t have a chance…
Any insights?

Hi,
