Video file not valid or supported ?

Hallo everyone.

In Nuendo 8.3 I am trying to import a video file. It was originally an .mp4. I tried importing it and it refused, saying ‘invalid or unsupported file’ so I re-rendered it into an .avi. Still not playing. I am sure this was working in an earlier N8 version, can anyone shed light on why this is happening ?

In fact I am sorted :slight_smile: I found the steinberg page about video files here https://helpcenter.steinberg.de/hc/en-us/articles/115000808250-New-video-engine-for-Nuendo-8#file_properties and installed davinci resolve to convert the file as suggested there. Works fine now, thank youze

You can also use XMedia Recode, very light, just does conversions.

Thanks Steve, that is good to know, Davinci Resolve is good, but not particularly light :slight_smile:
