Video playback issues Nuendo 10.3 MacOSX Catalina

Hi everyone,

I am having issues playing back a small size (640x480) quicktime video.

Video type: QuickTime Movie 408 MB, 4:3 aspect, DV/DVCPRO NTSC, 640x480, FPS 29.97.

The video plays back fine outside Nuendo, using the Mac Quicktime player.

Inside Nuendo though, it plays a few frames and then becomes stuck on a frame. Also, it causes Nuendo to hang often, for as much as 30 seconds at a time.

Using:

Nuendo 10.3.0.184

Mac OSX 10.15.5
MacBook Pro 15", 2.3GHZ 8 core intel i9, 16GB 2400MHZ DDR4 RAM, Intel UHD 630 1536 MB.

The project resides on an external hard drive, LaCie USB-C.

Use ProRes of DnDx, or Photo Jpeg.
Use Er Media Toolkit for converting: Audio Spot - Convert Video, Replace Audio in Video, Converter | audio spot
Any other codec, in any other DAW, will cause problems.
