Voices - How to?

Dorico 5 Pro:

In the attached project, I added the Hi-Hat. Then I created a new voice for the bass drum. The next step is adding. the snare. drum on beats 2 and 4. How. do I switch back to the Hi-Hat voice? I would like the snare drum to be attached to the Hi-Hat note. Using kybd V i thought would swap the voice back to the Hi-Hat voice?

Also, in videos i reviewed: When initially selecting note input next to the selected note (for example, beat 1, 1/8th note) , I see the + sign, but no 1/8th note with stem direction? Has this changed since then.

When working with percussion kits, the voices used for each instrument are determined solely by the settings you have made on the 5-line staff tab of the Edit Percussion Kit dialog. Select each instrument in turn, and you’ll see which voice it is set to use in the action bar below the preview of the instruments in the kit.
