Volume automation blocked! How to unblock it?

Hello everyone!

I am trying to insert volume automation into the tracks of a piece and it is impossible (the track name flashes in red whenever I am trying to draw something with the pensil tool) ! I never did anything to block it and I have tried switching on and off the R and W buttons but it doesn’t work.

Any ideas why is this happening and how to make it work again?

Have you locked the tracks?

Have you frozen the track?

Create a new track. Import the troubled track’s wav from the pool onto the new one. See if that fixes it.
