Volume on editing variaudio is much louder than when playing back

When I mouse click to select a note in variaudio, it plays that note once but it is very loud in comparison to the playback volume when pressing play.

Does anyone know how to reduce that ‘editing/monitoring’ volume without reducing the playback volume please?

I’m on C12.00 and using a Focustire Scarlett 18i20 interface.

Hi,

This Volume is the same, as you set in the Preview of MediaBay. It’s the Preview Volume in general. So you can lower it for example in the MediaBay > Preview.

I’ve been using modern Cubase since 10.5 / 2019 (ignoring my 5.3VST 1990’s days) and have never got around to looking up how to do this as I stupidly assumed it was some sort of sofwtare/hardware imbalance that required a lot of experimentation! :joy:
