VSL Instruments don't show in Vienna Assistant/Dorico Wizard window

I plugged in iLok, Opened Dorico 5.1, my Dorico document is set to play VSL library instruments. I open Vienna Assistant and select Dorico Wizard. A blank window appears. I cannot get it to show an instruments list.
One contributor says to “open the database tab” and look for hidden items. Cannot locate the database tab.

Those are all the Vienna Instruments versions, which are being discontinued. You would have to pay to crossgrade those to the equivalent Synchron-ized versions for the Dorico Wizard to work (the Synchron-ized versions of those use the same sounds, but a different player - the Synchron player). Otherwise you would have to buy the maps for those libraries from Symphonic Riot.

Sorry to be the bearer of bad news, but none of those libraries work with their Dorico Wizard:

D’oh! @mducharme beat me to it!

If you actually only bought those 10 days ago, you still have the option of returning them for a full refund.

However, the price you got them for is so low (due to the sale) that even when you go to crossgrade to the Synchron-ized when it goes on sale, it would still be slightly cheaper than if you got the Synchron-ized on sale to begin with.

I suspect we could see the Synchron-ized on sale as early as October (tomorrow), to encourage people to crossgrade from the Vienna Instruments libraries.

Plus VSL almost always has their “buy 3 get 1 free” voucher sale for Black Friday / December. As that’s only a couple of months away, you can likely count on some savings there as well.
