VSL Synchronised Solo Strings

Hi,

Is anyone able to give the top notes (highest pitches) of the instruments in the VSL Synchronised Solo Strings library?

By this I mean arco/pizz etc., not harmonics.

The upper pitch limits of many string libraries are quite low and below the standard playing range, so I’m looking to find libraries which will accommodate my top notes (which are still well within standard playing range).

The maximum play ranges of the instruments are:

  • Violin 1 G3–A#7
  • Violin 2 G3–G7
  • Viola C3–G#6
  • Violoncello 1 C2–F6
  • Violoncello 2 C2–D6
  • Double bass B0–G4

D7 for the violins
D6 viola
A5 cellos
A3 double bass
these are the actual programmed default ranges though can be extended. VSL tend to have a bigger sampled range than most of the serious competitors.
