I’ve update Dorico two weeks ago. Due to a busy calendar I haven’t follow the forum each day.
Today I will play with the new update and adding my Garritan and EZ Drummer instruments. They aren’t on the instrument list. Do the update overwrite the change’s to the whitelist? If the answer is yes, is it possible to easy recover this?
Yes, on an upgrade your edited whitelist will get overwritten and there is no easy way to recover from it. That is because it was never intended that users edit that whitelist. So you are best of to make a backup of your whitelist before doing any future updates.
Hi Ulf, there is a special threat about VST2’s. Maybe it is handy to make attention in the upgrade procedure to make backup’s of the whitelist. I will add them manually again.
