Are VSTs limited to audio processing? Can a VST be used to collect data and send audio and metadata to the internet VIA api’s? I’m wondering if its possible to leverage a plugin to support exporting audio files and metadata; storing metadta as a preset.
It is up to you, if your plugin wants to send some metadata using internet, …there was some time ago plugins like “fx teleport” allowing to send audio between to PC…sending audio should not be done in the audio realtime thread !!!
I’m just thinking something more simple. To be able to export stems, song title, artist name, to external platform. I’m just thinking of using a VST interface to allow user to log in, enter information, and send the files (to a label for example).
