Windows 11/ Cubase 14
I recently got an error after downloading Native Instruments bundle and apparently a few were already on the list as a 3rd was added.
Why am I encountering this issue, how can I rectify the issue and prevent it from occurring again in the future?
If the plug-in doesn’t pass internal Cubase tests, it goes to the VST Plug-in Blocklist to prevent crashes while usage.
These plug-ins are VST2, which are not supported anymore. Cubase 14 supports primarily VST3 presets. If you want to use VST 2.4, you have to enable this option (what you did). Even older plug-ins (like these) are not supported anymore.
those are not plug-ins, but iZotope’s operational files, they always get black-listed because they not actual plugins, but are stored in a location scanned by Cubase.
The actual plugins have “iZotope” in the file name, not “iZ”, you should have them listed as VST3.
So if I go through my files and see a VST3 version installed then I’m fine? I’m thinking perhaps when installing I selected all options and the installer may have done the VST3 as well. I’ll look shortly when I’m at the computer.
I appreciate the reply. Please excuse my ignorance ignorance, I’m new to not only Cubase but Windows 11.
