VST Connect 5.6.10 Public Release

Dear Forum Members,

As of October 6, 2025, the only way to connect the host to the VST Connect Performer is through an ID and key generated for each session.
Therefore, the Steinberg ID login and the “Find User/Friends” network feature have been removed from VST Connect.

These changes take effect with Version 5.6.10 and it can be download now from the Steinberg Download Assistant.

As always, the update is available to download from the Steinberg website and via the Steinberg Download Assistant .

VST Connect Pro 5.6.10 is continually showing up in my “Updates” despite having already been installed.
I have tried rebooting Windows 11, uninstalling/reinstalling, clearing the download folder etc.
Has anyone else encountered this?

… are you talking about the Steinberg Download Assistent?

Yes, it remains in SDA even between sessions (including reboots) regardless of how many times I select to install it. Even when other updates get installed and then no longer show up in “Updates”, VST Connect Pro 5.6.10 is back the next time I run SDA.

Hello Soundman,
My suggestion here would be to uninstall and reinstall the Steinberg Download Assistant.
I once had a similar problem, and that helped.

Thanks, I’ve tried that now, uninstalled, re-downloaded SDA and re-authorized, but the same thing happens.
SDA version information:

The issue is only that VAT Connect Pro 5.6.10 is being flagged as an update, when in fact it isn’t – the latest version is already installed. So largely cosmetic I guess.
